Follow the below-mentioned steps to enable this toolkit:

  • Click 'Microsoft Office' button, and then select 'Options'.
  • Click 'Add-ins', and then on the 'Manage' drop-down box, select 'Excel Add-ins' and hit 'Go' button.
  • 'Add-Ins available' box opens; check the 'Analysis ToolPak' checkbox, and then click 'OK'.

This is done by selecting Office Button > Excel Options > Add-Ins in Excel 2007 or File > Help|Options > Add-Ins in Excel 2010/2013, and clicking the Go button at the bottom of the window. Next you select the Analysis ToolPak option on the dialog box that appears and click the OK button. You will then be able to access the data analysis tools. Jan 23, 2014  The add-in for those data analysis tools is usually called 'Analysis ToolPak,' and it's not available for Excel 2011 for Mac. Instead, Microsoft recommends a third-party alternative. In Excel 2011 for Mac, choose Help from the topmost menu bar, type 'Analysis ToolPak' (without the quotes) into the Search box, and select the 'I can't find the Analysis ToolPak' item.

Note: If 'Analysis ToolPak' is not available in 'Add-Ins available' box, then click 'Browse' to fetch it. Moreover, if you are asked to install the 'Analysis ToolPak' as it is not currently available, then click 'Yes' to install it.

After enabling the 'Analysis ToolPak', you can find the 'Data Analysis' command at the 'Analysis' group under 'Data' tab.

Note: For including the Visual Basic for Application (VBA) functions of 'Analysis ToolPak', you have to load the Analysis ToolPak – VBA add-in the same way you have enabled the 'Analysis ToolPak'. Check the 'Analysis ToolPak – VBA' checkbox under 'Add-ins available' box and click 'OK'.

Add In Data Analysis Tool Pac Not There On Excel For Mac
@ Shorty: don't know if there's any reasoning whatsoever to this but with regards to my solution: I figured it is most logical if the solution provides largest numbers. E.g. $1000 = 10 x $100, but also 100 x $10. 10x seems more logical to me so that is why I arrived at this solution.
@ Shg: I think you're taking the problem a bit too far as far as I understand based on lucasuk86' problem statement. He only requires a list of 1000 products, thus 1000 prices, to be complemented with a coding. This results in simply utilizing VBA to let Solver calculate the problem a 1000 times with different targets and lucasuk86 is done.
Hope this helps lukasuk86, have a go at it. Just put all your values in column A, then press solve. I put in some rough VBA coding, so it won't handle errors properly but I'm assuming you only put in decent data ;-) Otherwise you can always slightly adjust the VBA code.

P.S. 10 items takes ~2 seconds, 100 items takes ~38 seconds, also depends on your input. Be patient, if necessary cut your input in blocks of 100, 200, whatever suits your needs.
