So i have a few questions here. I am getting a macbook pro for work. I am a system admin and i used mac at home but never used it at work. So first question is What are some really good IT apps for the mac and for a system administrator in a Microsoft shop also is it possible to use use AD on a mac rather than installing a windows vm or using bootcamp. One of the services our IT team occasionally provides is connecting Mac desktops up to our Linux-hosted OpenLDAP server. Our OpenLDAP server doesn’t have any schema support built in for OS X, but historically we’ve gotten around that by using the RFC 2307 template support built into the LDAPv3 directory service plug-in.
